Construction

• These rockets had the smaller fins mounted directly on the nozzle assembly instead of on a fin section aft of the nozzle like the 414 rocket designs. All other construction information was the same as the 414 flights.

Pros

• Using the fully threaded rods that connect the fins to the engine in place of machine screws on the nozzle assembly was a good idea.

Cons

• Rocket stability suffered due to the design change.
