HIGH POWER - LOW TECH

OCTOBER 03, 2009
Two rockets were launched today, one regular Coyote Rocket and a modified Coyote Rocket with four K450 boosters and a main L950 for the second stage. The "flight computer" worked perfectly and the staging was amazing but the rocket was a bit off balance due to the center of gravity being so far back on the rocket body. After the second stage ignited and got up to speed the structural stresses on the rocket were too great and the outer boosters ripped off. The regular Coyote Rocket was a great flight with full recovery and we should be able to use the rocket again!
